eBook App "Libby" and How to Get Started.

What is "Libby?"

Libby is the current app use by our Library to gain access to a wide assortment of eBooks, audiobooks and more that is provided by Overdrive. The older "Overdrive" app has stopped being supported as of February 2022.

Steps to get started using Libby

1. Download the Libby app
2. Search for the Lodi Public Library
   1. It should show up as the "Northern California Digital Library"
3. Sign in with your current and active Lodi Public Library library card number
4. Use the magnifying glass button on the far left to start searching for whatever ebook or audiobook you are looking for.
5. Once you find the book you are looking for you will be given the choice of Borrow or Place Hold.
   1. Borrow means the book is available and you can start reading now.
   2. Place Hold means the book is currently checked out and you will need to wait for it to come back.
      1. You will get a notification when it is ready.
6. You will gain access to it for 21 days.
