A Request for Proposal (RFP) is being issued by the City of Lodi pursuant to the Federal Transit Administration’s Best Value Procurement Guidelines to select an independent contractor to operate transit services in Lodi. The successful Proposer must be capable of providing “turnkey” service to include daily administration, management, customer service, and operations, to support Lodi’s Fixed Route, general public Dial-A-Ride, and ADA complementary paratransit services. The term of the agreement will be three (3) years beginning on July 1, 2021 through June 30, 2024, with two (2) one-year options to be exercised at the CITY’s discretion. A pre-project meeting is scheduled for Jan 8, 2021 - 10:00 am.

Effective Monday, November 16, 2020, transfers will be valid for ONE HOUR only. New day passes, good for unlimited trips in one day, will be available for $3.00 ($1.50 for senior/disabled). 


The San Joaquin Council of Governments (SJCOG) is seeking your input to determine if there are any reasonable to meet UNMET TRANSIT NEEDS in the County. Unmet Transit Needs that are identified as reasonable to meet must be funded before the Transportation Development Act funds can be used for non-transit purposes. 

The public is invited to comment on any unmet transit needs at a public hearing during the next scheduled virtual SJCOG Board of Directors Meeting via ZOOM on Monday, January 4th, 2021, at 3:00 PM.

COVID-19 Updates (!)

UPDATED 9/16/2020 1:14pm: Tentatively effective Monday, October 5, 2020, temporary service hours will be extended. The Lodi GrapeLine Fixed Route and VineLine/Dial-A-Ride will operate from 7:30 AM - 5:30 PM, Monday to Friday. Service on Saturday will remain the same; operating 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM only. Service on Sundays and Express Routes remain suspended. The main Transit Lobby is currently closed to the public.

UPDATED 6/18/2020 3:24pm: In accordance with the State of California’s mask order, the Lodi GrapeLine now requires face coverings to be worn by all passengers and drivers while waiting at the Transit Station and while on the bus. Click here to see the California Department of Public Health’s official guidance for use of face coverings.

Bus service is currently operating at a limited reduced schedule, from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday to Friday and from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Saturdays.  All Express Routes are suspended and the main transit lobby is closed to the public.  Lodi transit staff continues to closely monitoring ridership data as well recommendations from health officials to determine appropriate service levels.

To help prevent the spread of COVID-19, we are reminding passengers to please:

  • Avoid crowds and stay at home as much as possible to reduce risk of exposure. Limit travel to essential trips.
  • Avoid close-contact with people who are sick.
  • Practice social distancing (remain 6 feet from other individuals)
  • Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.
  • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. If no soap and water is available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer.

If you are experiencing cold or flu-like symptoms, avoid public areas, including riding public transit. Call your primary health provider and inform them of your symptoms.
