What is my pin number?

The pin number is usually the last four digits of your phone number on file with the library.

How do I get a library card?

A first library card is free to California residents.  If you have lost your card, there is a $3.00 charge.  Click Here for more information about getting your library card. Download library card application.

How many items may I check out and for how long?

The total number of items that can be checked out at any one time is 25.  Items may be kept for 3 weeks.  The items may be renewed if no one else is waiting for the them. For more information, please click Here.

How do I renew my materials?

Visit the library "My Account" page.  Click on "My Account". Choose "renew my materials, login using your library card number (no spaces) and your PIN number.  You can also call the library at (209) 333-5566.  Please have you library card number available when you call.

How do I place a hold on a book?

When you find the book in the catalog that you would like to hold, click on “Place Hold”. Enter your entire library card number and pin number.  Only fill in “Expiration Date” if you will no longer need the book after a certain date.

How do I get a book that the Lodi Public Library does not own?

Please contact a Reference Librarian to request that we get the book from another library.  There is a $2.00 charge for this service.

Can I pay my fines online?

Currently fines cannot be paid online.  You can use cash, check or a credit/debit card  inside the library at the Service Desk or your credit/debit card at the Self-check machine.  We accept Visa and Mastercard credit/debit cards.  Each transaction requires a minimum $2.00 charge.

Where can I return my books?

There is a bookdrop located in the alley behind the library where books can be returned 24/7. There is a bookdrop located in the library lobby where books can be returned during normal business hours.  Books can also be returned at the circulation desk.

How do I update my contact information?

Click on “My Account” and choose “Change My Address”.  Fill in the information that you would like updated.  Make sure to include your entire library card number and click “Send”.

How do I use a computer at the Lodi Library?

You must have a valid Lodi Library card to use the computers provided by the library. Please call (209) 333-5566 to make a reservation.  Use of the computers is free.  There is a charge for printing: $0.15 per black & white page, $0.50 per color page.

Does the Lodi Library offer free wireless internet?

The Lodi Public Library does offer free wireless internet.  The network ID is COLPHS and there is no password.  At this time, printing is not available to those using wireless devices.

Does the library offer classes on using computers?

The Lodi Public Library offers a variety of classes on computer use.  Click Here for more information.

Does the library offer tutoring for children?

The Lodi Public Library does not offer one-on-one tutoring for children.  What the library does provide is Homework Help  Monday-Wednesday from 3-6.  This is a group environment.

How can I support my library?

Does the library carry tax forms?

During tax season the library carries the most common instruction booklets.  Forms must be printed from the tax websites at a cost of $.15 per page. See the reference librarian for help.
